This conference aimed to prepare all parties involved in education to face the challenges of the 21st century. In order to play a role in this technological era, extra skills are a must for every individual. Most researchers agree that in the 21st century, society needs new ways of working, thinking, tools to carry out work, and new life skills that are different from those of 20th-century society.

The education sector has the capacity to prepare students to respond to these new demands.

Educators, as the main actors in the entire process, should continuously update their skills and implement reforms that lead to quality learning outcomes for every student. The goal of professional development for educators is to improve student achievement. This conference focuses on five sub-themes that are considered important to provide information to practitioners and policymakers about the challenges and aspirations of 21st-century educators.
