As a post-study service facility and to bridge Widyatama University graduates, the Placement Office – Public Relations & Marketing, in collaboration with the Student Senate of the Faculty of Economics, Widyatama University, will hold the Widyatama University Job Fair (UTAMA) on January 17-18, 2006, at the Widyatama University Auditorium, Jalan Cikutra 204, Bandung. A talk show titled “Tips & Tricks for Finding Your Ideal Job” will also be held on January 16, 2006, in the Seminar Room on the 6th floor of Graha Widyatama.

According to the Chair of the UTAMA Job Fair Organizing Committee, Tatat Setiawati, this job fair is being held to facilitate communication between college graduates, especially alumni of Widyatama University and other colleges, and the world of work. “This event is open to all students, alumni of Widyatama University, alumni of other universities, and the general public without an entrance fee (free),” she said.

This job fair, which is held annually, will invite around 34 companies. As a reference, in 2005, the job fair held by Widyatama University was visited by no less than 6,000 people interested in finding work.

At the UTAMA Job Fair, the organizing committee also provided visitors with free TOEFL and TOEIC tests. In addition, the committee also held presentations and seminars on job and business opportunities, delivered by a number of companies participating in the fair. Meanwhile, for the talk show on tips and tricks for finding your ideal job, the speakers will include Gantyo (writer of the Job Opportunities column in Media Indonesia Daily), Anti Srihartati (Microsoft Indonesia), Latief Sastranegara (MM Widyatama University), and a representative from Human Resource Development Bank NISP.
