Facing Digital Challenges, Widyatama Rector Encourages Strengthening of Culture

Universitas Widyatama has taken decisive steps in responding to the challenges of the times by calling for the strengthening of a culture-based curriculum for the Faculty of Humanities. This call was conveyed directly by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Dadang Suganda, M.Hum., at the peak of the 3rd Anniversary celebration of the Faculty of Humanities (FIB), which took place solemnly on Thursday, June 12, 2025, on campus.

The Rector pointed out the phenomenon of “buzz culture” in the digital age, where reality is often distorted. According to him, higher education institutions have a big responsibility to fortify students with strong cultural roots. The goal is to produce graduates who are not only academically and technically competent, but also have character, integrity, and social sensitivity based on the noble values of the nation’s culture.
