Six computer science students successfully created a multiport SMS gateway application program, software designed to accelerate the process of sending bulk electronic short messages (SMS) quickly and cheaply. The program, which has been registered with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights under registration number 050380 dated April 14, 2011, is the result of approximately three years of research by computer science students.
“This multiport SMS gateway has not yet been implemented on a mass scale, but we have registered its copyright since 2009,” said Benny Yustim, Head of the Informatics Engineering Study Program. This is one of the many achievements of our students in applying the knowledge they have gained during their studies at Widyatama Informatics Engineering. Not only that, students also play an active role in the development of information technology by participating in various national-scale activities such as Gemastik, the National Student Exhibition in the Field of Information and Communication Technology in 2008, as well as organizing annual national hacking competitions among students.***
