Engaged New Students to Avoid Drugs

Participants in the University Introduction Program (PPU) were treated to some attractive performances every day. Wednesday (08/28/2019) New students of Widyatama University were presented the appearance of students with disabilities studying at Widyatama Art Therapy Center (ATC). ATC is an art education institution in Bandung that educates children with special needs using art as a therapeutic method established to educate the nation’s children without exception, in this case persons with disabilities.

The event continued with a public lecture from presenters – speakers related to the theme of anti-drugs. Carrying the spirit of the anti-smoking and anti-drug campus, the University presented the chief speaker of the West Java National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Brigjen Pol. Sufyan Syarif to provide an understanding of the dangers of drugs. He said that drug abuse was one of the biggest causes of death in Indonesia.

“For this reason, we from the BNN invite the campus to prevent the spread of narcotics that are so massive at this time, the academic community is urged to make anti-drug regulations to bring together anti-drug agents”. he said.

Along with the vision of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) which eradicates narcotics abuse, Widyatama also presented a socialization and education about the dangers of drug abuse with speakers from the Sehati Foundation.

The students were very enthusiastic listening to the counseling of the drug. Socialization was interactively conveyed by wayang culture media and psycho drama styles.
