Visit and Tryout at UPI Bandung Pilot Laboratory High School
On Thursday (4/12), Widyatama University (UTama) received a visit from UPI Bandung Pilot Laboratory High School. The group arrived at around 9:00 a.m. at the Widyatama parking lot and was welcomed by the Marketing Bureau Public Relations team. The group was led by Mrs. Lala, Deputy Principal of Curriculum at UPI Bandung Pilot Laboratory High School, along with guidance counselors and accompanying teachers. UPI Laboratory High School has 182 students consisting of natural sciences and social sciences majors.
The event began with a speech from the representative of the Head of the Marketing Bureau, Mrs. Ana Yudhiana, S.E., followed by a speech from Mrs. Lala from the UPI Bandung Laboratory High School. The next event was a TRY OUT UN simulation conducted by the Marketing Bureau team to provide training for the UPI Bandung Laboratory High School so that they would be ready for the UN.
The purpose of the group’s visit to UTama was to provide high school graduates with an understanding of higher education. This is because high school graduates do not yet know which university they will attend after graduating from high school and what major they will choose when they go to college. In addition to providing this understanding, the visit was also used as a means to provide more detailed information about Widyatama University. At the end of the event, the Head of the Bureau presented merchandise and souvenirs to the group and held a photo session to foster familiarity and good relations between the two institutions.
