Wednesday (17/8) All leaders of the Foundation and Universitas Widyatama, along with the academic community, held a flag ceremony in the campus parking lot at exactly 8:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. This ceremony was held as a form of respect for the heroes who sacrificed their blood, sweat, and lives for the sake of the nation and state. The ceremony was solemn, with the Inspector of the ceremony being the Rector of Universitas Widyatama, Dr. H. Islahuzzaman, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA. In his speech, which conveyed a message from the Ministry of Research and Technology, the Inspector urged his staff to emulate the fighting spirit of the heroes, with the tagline “Real Work,” meaning that the Indonesian people must continue to fight and work to improve education. Work is incomplete if it is not accompanied by prayer, so we must harmonize work with prayer. The ceremony closed with the singing of independence songs by the choir of Universitas Widyatama students.
