SMAK Rehoboth UN Tryout: Getting a Taste of the Exam at Widyatama

Bandung (November 2), Widyatama University (UTama) welcomed a group of students from Rehoboth Christian High School Bandung (SMAK). The group was led by Ms. Meli, who is also a guidance counselor, and she guided 56 students to the UTama Theater Room.

“This tryout serves as a benchmark for them in preparing for the upcoming National Exams. As teachers, we feel that this program is very helpful. UTama is very concerned about the graduation of its students, not just looking for students,” said Ms. Meli in her speech.

The event began at 8:00 a.m. and was opened by the committee, followed by a speech from Mrs. Meli as a representative of SMAK Rehoboth. Mr. Edi Witono, a representative of UTama, specifically from the Marketing Bureau, also gave a speech to encourage the students who were taking the tryout that day. The tryout was conducted solemnly, as seen from the students’ seriousness in answering each question.

Also present was Mr. Pipin Sukandi, S.E., M.M., as a motivator to enliven the series of events held at the UTama Theater building. Mr. Pipin’s presence as a motivator in this series of visitation events motivated the students, especially in the context of the upcoming National Exams.

The purpose of the group’s visit to UTama was to provide high school graduates and their equivalents with an understanding of higher education. This is because high school graduates do not yet know which university they will attend after graduating from high school and what major they will choose when they go to college. In addition to providing this understanding, the visit was used as a means to provide more detailed information about Widyatama University.

At the end of the event, the Head of the Bureau presented merchandise and souvenirs to the group and held a photo session to foster familiarity and good relations between the two institutions.
