On Saturday (February 18th), the Universitas Widyatama Career Center once again held a gathering that brought together the Rectorate, alumni, and representatives from the business and industrial worlds. Located in the Seminar Room on the 4th floor of Building A, the event was held in line with government objectives, and policy makers were also invited, including representatives from the West Java Regional Representative Council. This is an annual event that was first held in 2014.
The event opened with a Barongsai performance from the Bandung Santo Club (BSTC) Widyatama, which had just won the titles of best participant and best dress at the “Legend of Shaolin Memorial Cup 2016” in China in December 2016. This was followed by a report from the Chief Executive and Head of the Widyatama University Career Center, Mr. Pipin Sukandi, S.E., M.M. The opening was marked by a speech from the Chair of the Widyatama Foundation Management Board, Mrs. Sri Lestari Adriani Roespinoedji, S.H., and the striking of a gong.
Invited as a speaker, the chairperson of the West Java Regional Representative Council, Ineu Purwadewi Sundari, S.Sos, M.M, presented material in line with the theme of the event, “Link and Match Student Competencies with the Needs of the World of Work.”
On this occasion, Ms. Ineu expressed the importance of synergy between the government as the policy maker, universities as institutions that produce human resources, and the business and industrial world as users of graduates.
This event was attended by 147 people consisting of alumni and final year students. At least 15 companies from various business fields were present, including:

The Widyatama Gathering 2017 is one of a series of activities organized by the Universitas Widyatama Career Center, followed by the Widyatama Job Fair, which is planned to be held on March 22nd and 23rd.
