Students of SMAN 16 Bandung Learn About the Uniqueness of the “Land of Cherry Blossoms” from the Japanese Language Study Program at Widyatama University

The Japanese Language Study Program, Faculty of Languages, Widyatama University (UTama) in Bandung, recently held a Community Service (PkM) event, introducing the various unique aspects of Japan, the “Land of the Cherry Blossoms,” to 29 students from SMAN 16 Bandung.

The theme was “Let’s Get to Know the Uniqueness of Japan.” Due to the ongoing pandemic, which made it impossible to hold the event in person, it was held virtually through a webinar.

Holding the PkM online was a solution during the pandemic for PkM activities that are usually held at partner locations.

“The activities we have carried out are one way to interact with the community, especially students of SMAN 16 Bandung. This is a form of concern from the Japanese Language Study Program for the community,” said Hetty on Wednesday (31/3/2021) afternoon.
“Even though it was held in the midst of a pandemic and at a time when Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) were in place in Bandung City, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the students of SMAN 16 Bandung City who participated,” she added.
