Following the easing of Covid-19 cases, Widyatama University once again held an international conference in a hybrid format on Wednesday-Thursday, October 12-13, 2022, at the Widyatama University Campus, Jln Cikutra No. 204 A. The conference featured four keynote speakers, namely Prof. Dr. Kazunori Nozawa from Ritsumeikan University, Japan, Prof. Ir. Ts. Mohamed Thariq Bin Haji Hameed Sultan from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia, Allan Nicko F. Rodelas, Ph.D., from De La Salle Lipa Philippines, and Mr. Agi Agung Galuh Purwa, Head of the e -Government Division of the West Java Provincial Communication and Information Agency, representing the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, S.T., M.U.D., this international conference organized by the Faculty of Cultural Sciences carried the theme “Home Civilization of Culture, Social and Economic Sustainability.”
120 participants from academic and non-academic circles, both domestic and international, presented research related to seven main issues in this conference, namely (1) Linguistics; (2) Digital Creative Economy; (3) Management; (5) Social Sciences; (6) Technology; and (7) Education.

The Rector of Widyatama University, Prof. Dr. H. Dadang Suganda, M.Hum, said in his speech that “the implementation of research results should be carried out in the development of science and technology and resource management, so that the benefits of innovations made by academics, researchers, and practitioners can be directly felt by the community, thereby ultimately creating economic independence.”

In addition, he added that this international conference “is expected to strengthen relationships between researchers in Indonesia and internationally, as well as generate ideas, methods, approaches, models, and implementation theories from research results and innovative technologies related to accelerating economic competitiveness.”

He said that ultimately, this conference would serve as a forum for establishing research collaborations that could be further developed to provide solutions to problems occurring in society.
