Workshop on Instrumental Harmony Accreditation in the Faculty Strategic Plan

Widyatama Quality Assurance (PMW) recently held a workshop with the theme “Harmonization of Accreditation Instruments in the Faculty Strategic Plan (Renstra)” on June 6th, 2024, in the Seminar Room, Building A, 4th Floor, Widyatama University. The event was attended by all university administrators, foundation representatives, faculty members, department heads, lecturers, and educational staff with the aim of strengthening the synergy between accreditation instruments and faculty strategic plans.

Opening and Objectives
The workshop was opened by the Vice Rector III for Research, Community Service, Innovation, and Cooperation, Dr. Didit Damur Rochman, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN Eng, who emphasized the importance of harmonizing accreditation instruments in an effort to improve the quality of education and services at the university. “Accreditation instruments are not just documents that must be fulfilled, but must be an integral part of our strategic planning to achieve the faculty’s vision and mission,” said Dr. Didit Damur Rochman in his speech.

Speakers and Topics Presented

Meita Lukitawati Sujatna, S.S., M.Hum., Director of PMW – Discussed the importance of accreditation in improving the quality of education, explained the integration strategy between accreditation instruments and faculty strategic plans, and explored best practices in the preparation and implementation of strategic plans that are in line with accreditation standards.

Discussion and Simulation
After the presentation session, the event continued with group discussions and simulations on the preparation of strategic plans integrated with accreditation instruments. Participants were divided into several working groups to discuss practical steps that could be implemented in their respective faculties.

Closing and Recommendations
The workshop ended with the formulation of recommendations and follow-up plans to be implemented by each department in the faculty.
Vice Rector II for Human Resources, Finance, Planning and Governance, Dr. R. Wedi Rusmawan Kusumah, S.E., M.Si., Ak., C.A., expressed his hope that the results of this workshop could be immediately applied and bring positive changes to the faculty management system.

“We need to continue collaborating and committing to maintaining quality and improving accreditation. With this harmonization, we are confident that the faculty will be able to achieve higher standards and make a greater contribution to the world of education,” concluded Dr. R. Wedi Rusmawan Kusumah, S.E., M.Si., Ak., C.A.

With the implementation of this workshop, it is hoped that the University will be better prepared to face the upcoming accreditation process and be able to formulate a more comprehensive and measurable strategic plan. This is an important first step in efforts to improve the quality of education and services to students and the wider community.
