Bandung, May 9th, 2025 – Universitas Widyatama once again demonstrated its commitment to bridging job seekers with the industrial world by holding the “Widyatama University Job Fair 2025.” This highly anticipated job fair will be held over two days, on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 6th-7th, 2025, at the Widyatama University Multipurpose Building (GSG) in Bandung.
This event is open to high school/vocational school graduates, college graduates, and the general public who are looking for career opportunities, with the participation of nearly 50 partner companies ready to offer a variety of job positions. This initiative is intended not only to reduce unemployment but also specifically to open opportunities for people with disabilities.
Hundreds of Cross-Sector Career Opportunities at the 2025 Widyatama University Job Fair
Now in its tenth year, the Widyatama University Job Fair has become a regular event that always attracts great interest. The Chief Executive, Pipin Sukandi, S.E., M.M., who also serves as the Head of the Widyatama University Career Bureau, expressed his enthusiasm. “This year, we are collaborating with STKIP Pasundan, Stikes Dharmahusada Bandung, and Swadaya Gunung Jati University Cirebon,” he said in his speech. He added that various positions ranging from customer service, teller, account officer, marketing, lecturer, to programmer and content creator are available, covering high school, vocational school, diploma, bachelor’s, and postgraduate education levels.
Furthermore, Pipin Sukandi emphasized that this event does not charge any fees from visitors, in line with the circular letter from the Manpower Office. “Since it was first held, we have never charged visitors,” he said. In addition to the job fair, the event was also enlivened by an exhibition of student works from the D3 and S1 Management programs, as well as an exhibition of works by students from the Widyatama Artherapy Center. The event was supported by the Pikiran Rakyat daily newspaper, PRFM Radio, and Ardan Radio as media partners.

Job Opportunities for People with Disabilities Become the Focus Thanks to a Commitment to Inclusivity
One of the most prominent aspects of the Universitas Widyatama Job Fair 2025 is its commitment to inclusivity by providing job opportunities for people with disabilities. “It’s a little different from previous job fairs, because this time we are providing job opportunities for people with disabilities,” said Pipin Sukandi. He gave an example that deaf people often excel in cashier positions because of their focus and minimal unnecessary verbal interaction. Widyatama University, through the Artheraphy Center, also actively assists in job placement for students with disabilities.
Dr. R. Wedi Rusmawan Kusumah, S.E., M.Si., Ak., C.A., Vice Rector for Human Resources, Finance, Planning, and Governance at Widyatama University, welcomed this development. “This is a positive development so that we can place prospective employees with disabilities,” he said. He also added that Widyatama has received two MURI awards for hosting the longest-running job fair both offline and online, demonstrating the university’s commitment to organizing this event. “With nearly 50 partners participating, we hope that hundreds of job seekers can be placed,” Wedi expressed.

Full Support and Expectations from Various Parties for the Widyatama University Job Fair 2025
Support for the Universitas Widyatama Job Fair 2025 also came from various important institutions. Dr. Lukman, S.T., M.Hum., Head of LLDIKTI Region IV (West Java and Banten), in his online speech, expressed his appreciation for Widyatama. “We would like to thank you for facilitating the organization of this Job Fair, which is greatly needed by students and alumni,” said Dr. Lukman. He also advised alumni to uphold the “PINTAR” principle (Professional, Integrity, Neutral, Transformative, Adaptive, and Realistic) when entering the workforce.
Dr. Wedi Rusmawan Kusumah also expressed his gratitude to all parties involved, including representatives from the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, the Head of the Bandung City and West Java Province Manpower Office, and leaders of partner companies. “Universitas Widyatama, as a top-ranked university with 6 faculties and 22 study programs, regularly produces alumni. This job fair activity is very helpful for them and the wider community,” he explained. He hopes that the 2025 Universitas Widyatama Job Fair will run smoothly and provide maximum benefits for all parties, especially in efforts to reduce unemployment rates.
