On Tuesday (May 30), Widyatama University received a visit from Yuanli Education China, represented by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wang Ruilan and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Yang Dongting. Communication during this brainstorming session was facilitated by English-Chinese interpreter Jackson (Zhang Tianhao) and Indonesian-English interpreter Nazeera Kurnia. The purpose of the event was to discuss cooperation between Widyatama University and Yuanli Education China. The visit took place in the Rectorate Meeting Room at Widyatama University.

One of the reasons Yuanli Education China chose this (academic) project and cooperation is because, in addition to the good relations between Indonesia and China, many Chinese companies are very interested in Indonesia. In addition, the Chinese government is also very supportive of the academic cooperation between Yuanli Education China in Shanghai and Widyatama University in Bandung, Indonesia. Wang Ruilan also said that her party is willing to accept this cooperation because there are many well-known universities in Indonesia, one of which is Widyatama University.
“Based on our observations, there are not many cooperative relationships between institutions that prioritize education between Indonesia and China. Therefore, we want to be pioneers in cooperative relationships between Indonesia and China in terms of education. This way, we can send more students from China to study in Indonesia. We hope that this cooperation will also apply to postgraduate students, such as those pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees,” explained Wang Ruilan, translated into English by Jackson.

The collaboration between Widyatama University and Yuanli Education China is a student exchange program for Chinese students to Indonesia. Wang Ruilan hopes that the collaboration with Widyatama University will not stop here, but will become a long-term cooperation agreement. This collaboration is also carried out by Widyatama University in fulfilling the Key Performance Indicators (IKU).
In this discussion, Widyatama University and Yuanli Education China agreed to hold international classes in the Accounting, Information Technology, and Information Systems Study Programs. There will also be an exchange of 100 Chinese students for 3 semesters until graduation. The facilitators sent by Yuanli also include 4 assistants for 50 students.
