Bandung, June 13th, 2025 – Universitas Widyatama held a Mobility Program with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Perak Branch, Malaysia on June 11–13, 2025. The program was attended by 16 participants from UiTM, consisting of 5 lecturers and 11 students from the Architecture and Graphic Design and Digital Media major.
The series of activities began on Wednesday, June 11st, 2025, with a Welcoming Ceremony in the Outdoor Meeting Room, Building A, 2nd Floor, Universitas Widyatama. The event began with a prayer, followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, and the Malaysian national anthem, “Negaraku”. Speeches were delivered by the Vice Rector for Research, Community Service, Innovation, and Cooperation at Widyatama University, Dr. Didit Damur Rochman, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN ENG, and TS. Ahmad Sofiyuddin Mohd Shuib, as the Graphic Design & Digital Media Faculty Coordinator at UiTM Cawangan Perak.

After the opening session, participants attended presentations by lecturers from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Widyatama. The material presented introduced various social, cultural, and economic aspects of Indonesia, with a focus on West Java Province and the city of Bandung as centers of creative growth and education.
The first day also included a campus tour to introduce the Universitas Widyatama environment to participants from UiTM. During the tour, participants were invited to visit various academic support facilities such as the library, laboratories, creative studios, and student activity areas that are part of the learning ecosystem at Widyatama.

On the second day, the activities continued with a lecture session by UiTM lecturers to Universitas Widyatama students. After that, lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Visual Communication Design at Widyatama presented material to UiTM students. This meeting became a space for the exchange of insights, teaching methods, and creative inspiration between students and lecturers from the two countries.

The third day focused on cultural introduction and community service. Participants were invited to visit Kampung Adat Cirendeu in Cimahi City, a traditional community that preserves local wisdom such as the consumption of cassava rice, traditional language and clothing, and ancestral values. Participants were provided with training in cultural photography techniques as a medium for introducing and documenting local culture without losing its original value. In addition, they also had the opportunity to taste Cirendeu’s signature cassava rice.
The cultural activities continued at Saung Angklung Udjo, where participants enjoyed traditional art performances, learned to play the angklung, and became more familiar with this traditional Sundanese musical instrument and its philosophical meaning.

The series of activities concluded with a Closing Ceremony in the Main Hall of Universitas Widyatama, which began with a video mapping performance by students from the Diploma 3 Multimedia Study Program. The cultural exchange session was the highlight of the event, where UiTM and Widyatama University students presented their respective cultural performances, strengthening mutual respect and friendship between nations.

Through this Mobility Program, Universitas Widyatama and UiTM Perak Branch have established a strong international collaboration in the academic and cultural fields, opening up opportunities for sustainable global synergy in the future.
