Pratama Media News, West Bandung Regency, January 25, 2023 – The Library & Information Science Education Program (Prodi) and the Informatics Education Program (Prodi) of Widyatama University collaborated with the Karyawangi Village Office, Parongpong District, West Bandung Regency in carrying out Community Service (PKM) activities. The activity, themed “Socialization of Village Administration Management Through Digital Archives,” was successfully held on Wednesday (01/11/2023) last week at the Karyawangi Village Office.
This was stated by Diah Sri Rejeki, S.Sos., M.I.Kom, Head of the Library & Information Science Study Program at Widyatama University and Chair of the Activity Implementation Committee, when met by Pratama Media News reporters in Bandung on Wednesday (01/25/2023). According to Diah, this activity was held face-to-face at the Karyawangi Village Office by inviting the Head of Karyawangi Village, Karyawangi village officials, and RW heads.
On this occasion, Diah gave her opening remarks and delivered material on the benefits of managing village archives digitally, especially those related to correspondence activities to make it easier for the community.

This outreach activity was highly appreciated by the Head of Karyawangi Village, Dadang Sudayat, S.E. According to him, digital archives are very much needed by the village he leads.
“These digital archives are very beneficial for the village, especially since Karyawangi Village is set to become a Digital Village. Hopefully, this collaboration will continue,” concluded Dadang.

The socialization activity ran smoothly and the participants were very enthusiastic. This was evident from the many questions and comments from the participants. Hopefully, this socialization can have a positive impact on the Karyawangi Village Office, Parongpong District, West Bandung Regency and can be a reference for other villages in the implementation of digital archives.
