Friday, September 8 2023, Widyatama University held a Widyatama University Senate Session for the offline Inauguration of New Students for the 2023/2024 Academic Year at the Widyatama University Multipurpose Building at exactly 13.30 WIB.
After holding the University Introduction Program (PPU) for 12 days from 28 August – 8 September 2023, as many as 1,802 prospective new students were inaugurated by the Chancellor of Widyatama University, Prof. Dr. H. Dadang Suganda, M. Hum. consisting of :
The Postgraduate School has 219 students, consisting of;
- Doctoral Program in Management Science (DIM) 5 Students
- Master of Management Program 137 Students
- Master of Accounting Program 43 Students
- Accounting Professional Education Program 34 Students
The Faculty of Economics and Business has 779 students, consisting of;
- Undergraduate Management Study Program, 513 Students
- Undergraduate Accounting Study Program, 162 Students
- D3 Management Study Program, 39 Students
- D3 Accounting Study Program, 7 Students
- Undergraduate International Trade Study Program, 58 Students
The Faculty of Engineering has 459 students, consisting of;
- Undergraduate Industrial Engineering Study Program, 104 Students
- Undergraduate Informatics Engineering Study Program, 172 Students

- Undergraduate Mechanical Engineering Study Program, 42 Students

The new students who will start their studies on September 11 2023 will be given guidance by Prof. Dadang. According to Prof. The key to success can be obtained through strengths and weaknesses, self-confidence, networking, plans vs possibilities, successful experiences, values, luck and miracles.
“Humans basically have the potential to be versatile. Can humans be versatile? Here’s the recipe:
1. Try not to always stick to the same habits. Always try and try new things.
2. Update your knowledge all the time, the recipe is to be literate.
3. Lifelong learning or life long education. Grow your mindset all the time (growth mindset).
4. Frequently go on science tours, object tours and cultural product tours, because from there a lot of imagination will be born. In line with Jack Ma’s thoughts, “now is the time to compete in imagination, no longer in science”. added Prof. Dadang.
Don’t forget Prof. Dadang gave a message to new students for the 2023/2024 academic year to be more active and focused on studying in order to get very satisfying academic grades and achievements so that they can make their parents proud and also to continue to improve and maintain enthusiasm to always learn, work and innovate to Nusa and Nation.
