Saturday (7/10) Improving and developing graduate competencies is one of Widyatama University’s main concerns in order to increase graduate absorption in the business and industrial worlds. This effort was carried out by the Widyatama University Career Center, assisted by Widyatama Student Ambassadors, by holding an HR Training Program for active students and graduates of Widyatama University through the WITRAIN (Widyatama Job Seeker Training) activity with the theme “Pursue The Job As You Want”. More than 150 participants from both within Widyatama and outside the university attended the event.
Present at the event were the Chairperson of the Widyatama University Foundation Board of Trustees, Sri Lestari Roespinoedji, S.H., accompanied by Mrs. Judiesty as Advisor to the Widyatama Student Ambassadors.
The Rector of Widyatama University, Dr. H. Islahuzzaman, S.E., M.Si., Ak., C.A., opened the event by saying that the various training programs organized by the university are expected to broaden the horizons of job seekers in preparing themselves to become more professional workers. Present as speakers were Drs. H. Deni Suherman, M.M., (Head of Industrial Relations at Bank BCA Regional Office I West Java), Mr. Ryan Anthony (Owner of CIACI VIP English), and Andra Ramdhan (Assistant Senior Manager at Bank Mandiri).
During the training, Drs. H. Deni Suherman, M.M., presented material on tips and tricks for creating an attractive curriculum vitae and explained the proper manner for conducting interviews. On the same occasion, Mr. Ryan, as a native speaker, explained how to pursue the job you want. To complement this training, Andra Ramdhan emphasized the importance of networking in building a career in the business and industrial world and provided training material on public speaking. The moderators were Widyatama University Faculty of Business Management lecturers Ayuningtyas Yuli Hapsari, S.Ip., M.M and Ervina C. Simatupang.
