Widyatama University (UTama) collaborated with Santa Maria 1 High School in the field of Community Service (PkM) on Friday, June 16, 2023. The PkM activity was held in the AUVI Room of Santa Maria 1 High School, Jalan Bengawan No. 6, Bandung City.
During the event, a Community Service (PkM) activity was held in the form of a seminar with the theme “Financial Literacy Among High School/Vocational School Students in Bandung City.” The PkM activity was funded by Widyatama University based on Contract Number 039/SPC2/LP2M-UTAMA/III/2023 in order to fulfill the Tridharma of Higher Education as well as a follow-up to the implementation of the MoU previously signed by Widyatama University and Santa Maria 1 High School in Bandung.

The Head of the Research and Community Service Cluster at UTama, Tanti Irawati Mukhlis, S.E., M.M., QIA., said that currently, opportunities for investment are widely available to the general public thanks to technology that supports such investment activities.
“This raises the risk of fraudulent investments being popularized by irresponsible parties,” said Tanti, who is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UTama, to Pratama Media News reporters today in Bandung.

According to Tanti, this was the reason why Widyatama University held a seminar focusing on the Fundamentals of Personal Financing and Investment. The seminar featured two speakers who are experts in their fields, namely Vincentia Wahju W., S.E., M.M. and M. Bayu Aji Sumantri, S.M.B, M.Com.
The Research and Community Service Cluster team led by Tanti consisted of lecturers from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Widyatama University, namely Neneng Susanti, S.M.B., M.M., Vincentia Wahju Widajatun, S.E., M.M., Muhammad Bayu Aji Sumantri, S.M.B., M.Com., Kharisya Ayu Effendi, Dr., S.E., M.S.M., Oliver Hasan Padmanegara, S.E., MSc., and Pebri Yanida, S.M.B., M.M.
Tanti hopes that this activity can provide early non-formal education for participants in managing their personal finances and investments. (Rose/PMN).
