Widyatama Foundation Distributes 750 Food Packages to Communities Around the UTama Campus

SABACIREBON – BANDUNG – A week before the end of Ramadan, the Widyatama Foundation distributed 750 food packages to residents in 10 neighborhood associations (RW) in Sukapada Village, Cibeunying Kidul District and Neglasari Village, Cibeunying Kaler District, Bandung City on Friday, April 14th, 2023.

The distribution of food packages to the communities in both areas was symbolically received by the Sukapada and Neglasari village heads, who then distributed them to the communities in both villages, which are located near the Widyatama University (UTama) campus.

On that occasion, the Chairman of the Widyatama Foundation, Roeshartono, said that the distribution of food packages was intended as an expression of gratitude in welcoming the holy month of Ramadan and sharing the joy that after going through the Covid-19 pandemic, the Foundation and UTama were still able to share their blessings with the community.

The Chairman of the Widyatama Foundation expressed his gratitude for the support and understanding of the residents around the campus for the existence of the UTama campus on Jl. Cikutra, Bandung, which is always bustling with student activities every day from morning to night.

Roeshartono, one of the grandchildren of the founder of the Widyatama Foundation and University, the late Prof. Dr. Koesbandiah Abdul Kadir, accompanied by the Chair of the Foundation’s Supervisory Board, Sri Juniati, and the university rectorate leadership, also said, “I see that now the residents who have businesses (boarding houses and food stalls) around the campus are starting to be crowded with (student) buyers, especially Widyatama students and employees.”

Furthermore, in front of the heads of Sukapada and Neglasari villages, along with the heads of neighborhood associations and community representatives, Roeshartono also conveyed information about the progress achieved by Widyatama University. He promised to continue improving the quality of education and lecture services at the institution he leads.

Widyatama University, led by Prof. Dr. Dadang Suganda as rector, currently holds an “Excellent” accreditation status, which is the highest ranking or accreditation that a university or college can obtain because it has been assessed as meeting various requirements issued by the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT).

The Excellent Accreditation status has also been obtained by the Bachelor of Management Study Program, Faculty of Management and Business (FMB) of Widyatama University due to the program’s success in implementing all BAN-PT requirements in the lecture process. In addition, BAN-PT also assessed the completeness of teaching facilities and infrastructure as well as the quality of lecturers in the Bachelor of Management program, which was found to be of excellent quality.

In addition to the Excellent Accreditation status for the Bachelor of Management program, Roeshartono also expressed his gratitude for the success of the Civil Engineering program, Faculty of Engineering, which received an upgrade to Good Accreditation from BAN-PT.
