Widyatama Celebrates 37 Years of the Foundation and Eight Years of the University

Starting with 118 students in 1973, Widyatama University began its journey in the world of education under the name Bandung Institute of Accounting (IAB) on the initiative of Kosbandijah, A.K. Thanks to loyalty, dedication, and high commitment, Widyatama University has continued to grow since the merger of colleges into the faculties of Economics, Business & Management, Engineering, Languages, and Visual Communication Design in 2001.

Commemorating the eighth anniversary of Widyatama University and the 37th anniversary of the Widyatama Foundation, various activities and events will be held under the theme “THANK YOU, WIDYATAMA.” These activities are a form of gratitude from Widyatama to the academic community and other stakeholders. From mid-2009 to early 2010, various activities have been and will be held, including: Eid Gathering, Public Lecture by the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Training on Research Proposal Writing for lecturers, Writing and Photo Competition with the theme “Widyatama in Their Eyes” for high school and university students, a Cleanliness Competition between units, a Joint Healthy Walk, a Futsal Competition between employees, a “Crackers” Competition for Bandung high schools, Awards for exemplary academic community members, the Launch of the Alumni Website and Directory, Widyatma Sharing and Gathering, a Seminar on “Toyota Way & Supply Chain Management (LOGIC), Widyatama Book Fence (MURI Record), Widyatma in Their Eyes Film, Widyatama Evolution Photo Exhibition, National Seminar ”Techno Economy,” Campus TV Launch.

The highlight of the event will be closed at the beginning of the year with an appreciation night event “Widyatama Together in Aspiration”, a performance filled with various forms of art and the announcement of the winners of various competitions.
