The Indonesian Student Regiment is an organization that plays a role in shaping the spirit and character of a reliable generation of the nation, with a national perspective, full of creativity and dedication to welcome a better future.
The Student Activity Unit of the Indonesian Student Regiment (Menwa) at Widyatama University held a handover ceremony for the commanding officer of Menwa Widyatama on Saturday (January 21st, 2023) at 9:00 AM in the Widyatama Auditorium (GSG). The inauguration ceremony was led directly by the Rector of Widyatama University, Prof. Dadang Suganda, M.Hum, as the inspector of the ceremony.
Also present were Menwa Commander Mahawarman, Wawan Setiawan, S.H., M.H., Head of Community Guidance AKBP Drs.Sutorih, M.Si., Widyatama University Vice Rector Dr. R. Wedi Rusmawan Kusumah, M.SI., AK., C.A., Head of Student Affairs Muchammad Fauzi, M.Log., as well as Menwa members.
Prof. Dadang symbolically pinned the position of Commander of Menwa Widyatama University to M. Widi Prayogo, a student from the Bachelor of Accounting study program who was inaugurated as the new commander within the scope of Battalion VI for the 2022/2023 period, replacing the previous commander Eldina Alipphia.

“I would like to thank all the previous Menwa administrators and members who have carried out this reorganization process, so that today we can hold the handover and inauguration of the new administrators,” said Prof. Dadang in his speech.
The hope is that the newly elected Company Commander will set an example and create new breakthroughs that advance the Menwa Widyatama organization. It is also hoped that this organization will produce leaders with character, humility, and a positive mindset who can actively participate in building Indonesia into a nation with integrity and character.

The Rector’s daily orders to Menwa Mahawarman members include:
1. Maintain strong ties with the Menwa Mahawarman West Java family and set a good example, as well as social solidarity to help the university and our surrounding community in solving any problems.
2. Be determined to work hard to achieve on-time graduation and zero dropouts;
3. We hope that the Student Regiment has high aspirations. Along with these aspirations, we hope that other components can be synergized into a single entity;
4. Continue to learn because the owners of the future are not educated people, but people who continue to learn;
5. Be wise and prudent, and reduce actions that may cause new problems, by adhering to devotion to God Almighty.
