Nabila Hidayat, a student in the Japanese Language Bachelor’s Degree Program at Widyatama University, was selected as the only student from Indonesia among many applicants from other Japanese language universities in Indonesia. This program is attended by foreign students representing reputable universities from around the world. Nabila had the opportunity to participate in a series of Pasona International Exchange Programs organized by Japan’s Pasona Group. The activities Nabila participated in included orientation, a gala dinner, management training, various Japanese cultural events, internship results presentations, and a farewell party.
On Thursday (June 28), Nabila arrived in Tokyo, Japan, and headed straight to the apartment provided by Pasona Group. In addition to having the opportunity to learn firsthand about the Japanese work atmosphere and culture, she also participated in several exciting activities, including visits to several companies and enjoying sightseeing in the Land of the Rising Sun.
Along with 20 other students, she will also participate in an internship at a company in Japan. Nabila will participate in an internship program as a translator at Hitachi Tokyo for 3 months from July to September 2018. All expenses, including accommodation and airfare, will be covered by the company, and the students will receive a monthly stipend of 120,000 yen, or approximately 14 million rupiah.
During an interview via WhatsApp, Nabila shared her enjoyable experience of learning about Japanese culture firsthand. She was very happy to meet selected students from various renowned universities in other countries, including the United States, Europe, China, Vietnam, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and so on.
The Head of the Japanese Language Study Program at Widyatama University, Dinda Gayatri Ranadireksa, M.A., Ph.D., said that Widyatama University strongly supports the development of students’ potential. This is demonstrated by mentoring students to obtain Pasona grants, which this year was achieved by Nabila.
