Tuesday (7/2) Universitas Widyatama (UTama) welcomed a group from SMA Negeri 27 Bandung. The group arrived at Widyatama at around 8:30 a.m. at the Widyatama parking lot and was welcomed by the Marketing Bureau. A total of 274 students from SMA Negeri 27, consisting of MIA and IIS majors, were accompanied by 11 teachers led by Mrs. Rika as a guidance counselor.
The event began with a speech from Mr. Edi Witono from the Widyatama Marketing Bureau, followed by a speech from Mrs. Dra. Nunung as the Deputy Principal of SMA Negeri 27 Bandung. The event continued with a Try Out held at the Widyatama Auditorium (GSG). This activity is an implementation of one of the Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education), namely Community Service. With this activity, it is hoped that students will gain additional references before facing the National Examination in April 2017.
The visit from SMA Negeri 27 Bandung is an annual event, thanks to the excellent cooperation between SMAN 27 Bandung and Widyatama University. This visit was used as a means to provide more detailed information about Widyatama University. At the end of the event, the Head of the Bureau presented merchandise and souvenirs to the group and held a photo session to foster familiarity and good relations between the two institutions.
The event continued with a Motivational Seminar led by Mr. Pipin Sukandi, S.E., M.M. The seminar was well received by the students who will be taking the National Examination. Seminar participants were treated to motivation mixed with entertainment typical of motivators, who are also permanent lecturers at the Faculty of Business and Management, Widyatama University. At the end of the event, students of SMA Negeri 27 Bandung were invited to get to know more about the facilities owned by Widyatama, the teaching and learning process, and were also invited to experience the campus atmosphere by touring the Widyatama University area.
