Widyatama International Competition or WINACTION is an annual international academic and non-academic competition that aims to develop the intelligence, innovation, talent, and creativity of students.
As a university, Widyatama University strives to contribute to preparing future professionals who are able to respond to local, regional, national, and global challenges.One way to do this is by organizing WINACTION, which is regularly held as a forum for the younger generation, especially university and high school students, to channel their potential in international competitions.
Prof. Dr. Reiza D Dienaputra, M.Hum., Vice Rector for Higher Education and Student Affairs, presented a report on the implementation of WINACTION. The 5th WINACTION carried the theme “Partnerships for the Goals,” which is in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 17. There were 19 types of competitions in both academic and non-academic fields.
“Therefore, I would like to thank all participants and supervising lecturers. Hopefully, this event will be beneficial for the participants and institutions. I would also like to thank the sponsors who have supported this event, and of course the committee who have worked hard and done their best to make this event a success.”
Meanwhile, the Rector of Widyatama University, Prof. H. Dadang Suganda, M.Hum. said that WINACTION 2024 has received recognition from several neighboring countries, particularly ASEAN countries and Egypt. This is evident from the participation of Malaysia, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Egypt. Meanwhile, 346 participants from various universities and high schools from 19 provinces in Indonesia, including Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali, DKI Jakarta, West Java, Banten, Central Java, and East Java, participated in the event.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the invited guests and participants from several universities who have attended and participated in this event. Hopefully, the implementation of WINACTION 2024 can improve the quality of education and inspire us all to be better in the future.”
The WINACTION 2024 event featured various academic competitions in various fields of study as well as non-academic competitions. WINACTION 2024 is also an innovation event, a platform for producing truly new products resulting from innovation.
