Bandung, July 2nd, 2024 – The Directorate of Principals, School Supervisors & Education Personnel (Dit. KSPSTK) and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) held a contract signing ceremony for a grant agreement on self-managed production of educational videos with ten private universities (PTS) on July 2, 2024, at the Millenium Hotel Sirih, Jakarta.
Widyatama University, as one of the selected PTS, will produce 15 educational videos to be used in schools in the West Java region. The total contract value agreed upon is 620 million rupiah, with a completion target of November 2024.

The event was attended by representatives from Widyatama University, including Dr. Didit Damur Rochman, S.T., M.T., Vice Rector 3 for Research, Community Service, Innovation, and Cooperation, Kenmada Widjajanto, S.Sos., M.Ikom as the chief executive and head of the Film and Television Production study program, and Tanti Irawati Muchlis, SE., MM., AK., CA as the deputy chief executive.
The production team from Widyatama University consists of lecturers and students from the Film and Television Study Program (FTV) who will collaborate with lecturers and students from the Faculty of Visual Communication Design (FDKV) and the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). This collaboration is expected to produce educational videos that are not only informative but also interesting and easy for students to understand.
Dr. Kasiman, S.Pd., S.T., M.M., Director of KSPSTK, said that this program aims to improve the quality of learning through innovative and interesting media. “We greatly appreciate the participation and cooperation of various private universities, including Widyatama University. We are confident that the resulting educational videos will make a positive contribution to improving the quality of education in Indonesia, especially in West Java,” he said.

Kenmada Widjajanto, S.Sos., M.Ikom, as the chief executive of Widyatama University, stated, “We are honored by the trust placed in us by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. Our team, consisting of lecturers and students, is ready to work hard to produce high-quality educational videos that will be beneficial to students in West Java.”
With this project, it is hoped that the synergy between higher education and primary and secondary education will become even stronger, creating an adaptive learning ecosystem that is in line with technological developments and the needs of the times.
