The Graphic Design Study Program at UTama held a webinar titled “Animals & Macro Photography & Creative Advertising” on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.
Attended by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Visual Communication Design, Drs. Budiman, M.Pd., along with his staff and the Head of the Graphic Design Program, Drs. Rudy Farid C. P., M.Ds. as Moderator. Lessy Sebastian was invited as a guest speaker. He is the founder of SKOLA MACRO and has extensive experience in the advertising industry. He has also served as a lecturer at several universities in Indonesia.
During the webinar, Lessy explained the production process at an advertising agency, the creation of advertisements, and the creative process. He also stated that graduates from the Faculty of Visual Communication Design can work anywhere, with classifications ranging from Corporate Branding, Book Design, Music/Event, Information & Environment Design, Advertising & Media, Interactive & Digital, Motion & Video, Type & Lettering, Editorial & Publishing, Entrepreneur.
Not only that, Lessy also shared her experience in wildlife macro photography. She has won several national and international awards for her photographs, including the International Animal Photo Competition 2017 – Taman Safari Indonesia, SIPA CONTEST Siena International Photography Awards 2017 – Siena, Italy, SONY WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS 2015 – UK, and many more.
Lessy also provided tips and tricks on how to take good and proper photos, tips on using the right applications and equipment, and explained the advantages of selling works online, which can become a passive income.
