A total of 50 high school students from SMA Negeri 6 Bandung, SMA Taruna Bakti, and SMA BPI participated in Online Forex Trading organized by Pojok Bursa Widyatama in collaboration with the Faculty of Business & Management, Widyatama University, on March 16, 2009, at the Widyatama University Computer Laboratory, Jalan Cikutra, Bandung.
This activity, held as part of the 2009 Widyatama Fair, was an effort to introduce high school students to foreign exchange (Forex). The material presented was the implementation of how to trade forex.
Each participant experienced firsthand how to trade in the virtual world, allowing them to observe and analyze real-time forex trading conditions.
According to the coordinator of the Widyatama Online Forex Training event, Luxky Wijaya, this training was very positive because it provided tips and tricks on how to profit from forex trading. This serves as preparation and a first step for students to enter the real world of trading.
Actually, said Luxky, there are many high school students interested in participating in this training, “but we are limiting it to only 50 people, and coincidentally, these three schools are the first 50 to register, so whoever is first gets a seat to participate in the training,” he explained.
This activity, which has been held since 2005, aims to sociolize the trading forex to the society.
