Gathering of Universitas Widyatama Lecturers

On Saturday (March 12th), the University and Foundation held a training event entitled “Mind, Body and Soul (Make Better Solutions)” and a gathering for lecturers from various faculties within the Widyatama community. The event, which was held in the Seminar Room on the 4th floor of the Rectorate Building, also invited officials from the rectorate and the Widyatama Foundation. Those in attendance included the Chair of the Foundation’s Management Board and its members, the Rector and his staff, the Deans, and the Heads of Bureaus in each Widyatama work unit.

The event, themed “Anti-Drugs, Anti-Corruption, and Defending the Country,” was opened by the Rector of Widyatama, Dr. H. Islahuzzaman, S.E., M.Si., Ak., C.A., followed by a presentation accompanied by the vice rectors. The training and gathering were held with the aim of strengthening the bonds of brotherhood between all Widyatama lecturers. It also aimed to expand the lecturers’ network so that they are not limited to their own faculty, but can get to know lecturers from other faculties and study programs. In addition, this gathering can create new relationships for lecturers in carrying out the three pillars of higher education.

Improvements in the quality and ranking of the university were the main focus of the presentation led by the Rector. “There needs to be significant implementation, especially when a lecturer conducts research. So that it is not just a discourse, but the research also becomes a useful aid for the object being studied,” said the Rector during his presentation.

After that, the Chair of the Widyatama Foundation Management Board also gave “advice” and a message to all Widyatama lecturers to continue to carry out their main duties and functions based on the 3 pillars that have been determined in the tridharma. A lecturer must also have the potential to make improvements both on and off campus. This is an effort to make Widyatama University even better in all sectors that influence the improvement of education.
