The Bollywood team defeated The Dream Team (TDT) with a final score of 11-4 in the final round of the mini soccer (Miso) ’09 tournament on Friday (24/4), earning them the title of Champion. The basketball court, which was transformed into an open futsal arena at Widyatama University in Bandung, was a silent witness to TDT’s defeat at the hands of Bollywood’s fierce attack on the opponent’s goal. Due to Bollywood’s superiority, TDT had to settle for second place, followed by the D’debblers team, which defeated the Kimacks team in the previous match with a narrow score of 5-4.
The Miso Championship is an annual event organized by the Bola student activity unit as a competition between soccer clubs at Widyatama University. Not only students, but Widyatama employees also participated in this championship. This year, there was an increase in the number of participants, reaching more than 30 teams, said Basho, the Chief Executive, when met at the opening ceremony. This indicates that enthusiasm for this sport is increasing.
