Widyatama University Graduates 1,018 New Bachelor’s Degree Holders, Encouraging an Excellent Generation

Bandung, November 23, 2024 – Widyatama University successfully held its first graduation ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic year. A total of 1,018 graduates from various study programs officially received their bachelor’s and associate’s degrees and are ready to serve the society. The lively event, which took place at the Harris Convention Hall, was a historic moment for the graduates and the institution.

The graduates came from various study programs, ranging from management, accounting, engineering, design to humanities. This shows the diversity of backgrounds, interests and talents of Widyatama University graduates who are ready to compete in various fields.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Dadang Suganda, M.Hum, Rector of Widyatama University, expressed his pride in the graduates’ achievements. “I congratulate all graduates. May the knowledge you have gained be beneficial to the community, nation, and country,” he said. The rector also expressed his appreciation to the lecturers and educational staff who have played an important role in producing an excellent generation.

Gina Indriani, S.Si., M.T., as the Head of the LLDIKTI Region IV educational staff working team, in her speech conveyed the importance of higher education in improving the quality of human resources. “The gross enrollment rate for higher education is still below 40%. Therefore, today’s graduates should be grateful, and I hope that Widyatama University will continue to improve the quality of its education,” she said.

Dr. Buky Wibawa Karya Guna, M.Si, who is the Chair of the West Java Provincial DPRD and a representative of the graduates’ parents, gave a message to the graduates to continue learning and developing themselves. “Diversification or mastering various things is the key. Establish communication with many people from various backgrounds,” he said.

Proud Achievements

Widyatama University should also be proud because many of its students have achieved success at the national and international levels. In the academic field, 300 national awards and 30 international awards have been won. Meanwhile, in the non-academic field, Widyatama University has also won 51 national awards and 20 international awards.

Hopes for the Future

Andre Anderson S.E., M.M., as Chair of the Widyatama University Alumni Association, expressed his hope that the graduates would bring honor to their alma mater. Meanwhile, Annisa Nur Sadrina, S.Ak., representing the graduates, expressed her gratitude in her speech to all those who had supported their academic journey. This Widyatama University graduation ceremony was not only a moment to celebrate the graduates’ success, but also a momentum for Widyatama University to continue improving the quality of education and producing excellent and competitive graduates. With the knowledge and skills they have acquired, it is hoped that Widyatama University graduates can actively contribute to the development of the nation and country.
