On Saturday (17/8), all leaders of the Foundation and Widyatama University, along with the academic community, held a flag ceremony in the campus parking lot at exactly 8:00 a.m. This ceremony was held as a form of respect for the heroes who sacrificed their blood, sweat, and lives for the sake of the nation and state.
On Saturday (17/8), all leaders of the Widyatama Foundation and University, along with the academic community, held a flag ceremony in the campus parking lot at exactly 8:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. This ceremony was held as a form of respect for the heroes who sacrificed their blood, sweat, and lives for the sake of the nation and state. The ceremony was solemn, with the Inspector of the ceremony being the Rector of Widyatama University, Dr. Mame S. Sutoko, Ir. DEA. Also present were the Chairman of the Widyatama Foundation Management Board, Mr. T. Ontowiryo, S.E., MBA, and his staff. In his speech, the Inspector of the ceremony urged his staff to emulate the fighting spirit of the heroes, especially the Founding Mother, the late Prof. Dr. Hj. Koesbandijah, A.K, M.S., Ak, who devoted her entire life to higher education. She should be a role model for the academic community in carrying out their work in the world of education. The ceremony was closed with the singing of independence songs by the Widyatama University student choir. The Independence Day celebrations at Widyatama University were filled with various activities, including a music stage, various competitions such as tug-of-war, sack races, and eating crackers.
