53 Years of Widyatama Foundation, Strengthening Educational Institution Facilities and Performance

The Widyatama Foundation commemorated and held a celebration for its 53rd anniversary at the Universitas Widyatama Campus, Bandung, on Saturday (January 3rd). The event was attended by the extended family of the Widyatama Foundation as a token of gratitude for the foundation’s long journey in serving higher education.

In his speech, the Chairman of the Widyatama Foundation, Roeshartono, S.T., MCEM., MBA, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all parties, both internal and external, for their support and cooperation over the years.

“We would like to thank all parties who have contributed to the various activities of the Widyatama Foundation to date,” he said.

The 53rd anniversary celebration was also coupled with a celebration of the completion of the renovation of the meeting room located on the 4th floor of Building A of Universitas Widyatama. The meeting room has a capacity of around 300 people and is one of three representative meeting rooms owned by the Widyatama Foundation.

The meeting room renovation was carried out with a modern interior concept and advanced technological facilities, equivalent to meeting rooms in five-star hotels. The presence of these facilities is expected to support various academic and non-academic activities, especially those related to Universitas Widyatama.

On the same occasion, the Chair of the Widyatama Foundation Board also expressed his hope that the addition and improvement of campus facilities would encourage improved performance across all work units under the foundation. Universitas Widyatama itself is one of the largest units and institutions managed by the Widyatama Foundation.

The Widyatama Foundation was established 53 years ago by Prof. Dr. Koesbandijah Abdulkadir. The foundation’s journey began with the management of a number of academic and higher education institutions, which eventually developed into a university. One of the most well-known educational institutions before its transformation into a university was the Bandung School of Economics (STIEB).

Currently, Universitas Widyatama has been awarded “Excellent” accreditation status, with various faculties and study programs, and continues to be committed to improving the quality of education, research, and community service.
