Bandung, March 11, 2025 – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Widyatama University celebrated its 4th anniversary with enthusiasm and reflection on its academic journey over the past four years. The event took place in the Seminar Room of Building B, 6th Floor, Widyatama University, and was attended by the Widyatama Foundation, the rectorate, faculty deans, department heads, lecturers, and FISIP students.
The celebration began at 9:00 a.m. with a series of events that started with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, a prayer, and speeches from various parties. The Rector of Widyatama University, Prof. Dr. H. Dadang Suganda, M.Hum., in his speech expressed his appreciation for the progress of FISIP, particularly in the two study programs it offers, namely Film and Television Production (FTV) and Library and Information Science (PSI).
The Dean of FISIP, Dr. Soni A. Nulhaqim, M.Si., emphasized the importance of innovation and collaboration in the future development of the faculty. Meanwhile, Ibrahim Adi Surya, S.Sn., M.Sn., presented a flashback of FISIP’s journey over the past four years, highlighting various achievements and challenges that have been faced.

Scientific Oration and Awards
The highlight of the event was a scientific speech by Dr. Diah Sri Rejeki, S.Sos., M.Ikom. with the theme “Innovation in Library Services in Developing Library Tourism and Inclusive Libraries for the Society”. In her presentation, she highlighted the importance of transforming libraries into more inclusive and attractive literacy centers through the concept of Library Tourism. With the use of digital technology, libraries can remain relevant and reach more people, including people with disabilities and citizens in remote areas.
