National Intercollegiate Accounting Competition To encourage academic development and improvement in the field of accounting, the Student Senate of the Faculty of Economics, Widyatama University, Bandung, will hold the Widyatama Accounting Competitions III 2006, a national intercollegiate competition, from May 1 to 3, 2006, at the Widyatama University Campus, Jalan Cikutra 204, Bandung.
The competition mechanism is as follows: each university representative team consists of 3 people. On the first day (qualification phase), they will take a written test on materials including taxation, financial accounting, accounting auditing, financial management, and accounting systems. As for the second day (semifinal phase), each team will take an objective test and quiz contest divided into 4 competition sessions. In the final round, in addition to the quiz contest, each participant is required to give a presentation.
This competition, which is being held for the third time, will compete for the Prof. Dr. Koesbandijah, Accountant Rotating Cup and a total prize of IDR 12 million. The committee plans to accept only 40 teams from various universities throughout Indonesia.
It is hoped that, in addition to testing academic abilities, this competition will also serve as motivation to develop and popularize the field of accounting, as well as a forum for networking among students of the Faculty of Economics.
