BANDUNG – Universitas Widyatama warmly welcomed the arrival of an academic delegation from De La Salle Lipa Philippines on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. This face-to-face meeting was an important step in strengthening institutional partnerships with a commitment to quality higher education in Southeast Asia. The dynamic welcoming agenda on campus was attended by 17 representatives from Universitas Widyatama, including the Rector and his staff. Meanwhile, the 15 members of the guest delegation, led by the Vice Chancellor for Academics of De La Salle Lipa, also enlivened the atmosphere. This international meeting was not just a regular friendly visit. This activity served as a serious forum to finalize the expansion of long-term academic synergy.

The series of events for the De La Salle Lipa visit began at 10:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time with a welcome speech from Widyatama University, which was immediately followed by a presentation on the institution’s profile. After that session, it was the turn of the De La Salle Lipa representatives to fill the forum. They expressed their deep appreciation and presented their institutional profile to all attendees. The core discussion on the roadmap for academic and institutional collaboration then flowed dynamically starting at 10:35 a.m. An interactive question and answer session followed shortly thereafter and successfully demonstrated the enthusiasm of both parties. The morning agenda finally concluded with an exchange of souvenirs, followed by a group photo session and a lunch reception that further warmed the atmosphere.

During the session, Dr. Tessie Palma presented material on strategies for integrating English into college-level mathematics courses. Meanwhile, Lea M. Del Rio thoroughly explored insights into risk management. Such scientific activities are considered highly relevant to the academic spirit within the Faculty of Cultural Sciences and other study programs to master cross-cultural communication skills.

The atmosphere of kinship between the two institutions was deeply felt by all members of the Philippine delegation from the moment they set foot on campus.
