SNMPTN TRY OUT closes Widyatama Fair 09

Hundreds of high school and vocational school students from Greater Bandung flocked to Widyatama University for the 2009 SNMPTN TRY OUT on Sunday, March 29, 2009. The event, which was opened by the Regional Secretary of Bandung City, Edi Siswadi, was the culmination of the Widyatama Fair ’09 series of activities, a collaboration between the Faculty of Business & Management of Widyatama University, the morning daily Tribun Jabar, and the Primagama Tutoring Institute.
In his written speech, Edi said that education is one of the important aspects in developing the city of Bandung because education can produce quality human resources who are competitive, have noble character, and become reliable assets for the nation. On the same occasion, Edi promised that the 20 best students from the Try Out results would receive compensation of 500 thousand rupiah each. Additionally, the organizing committee provided cash prizes of 2.5 million, 2 million, and 1.5 million rupiah for the top scorers in the science and social studies categories. Edi hopes that this event can serve as a benchmark for participants, particularly to identify their weaknesses and areas for improvement and ready to facing the real test for university enterence.
