Widyatama University once again received a visit from reviewers from the Directorate of Higher Education (Dikti) regarding the implementation of the Institution-based Competitive Grant Program (PHK-I) obtained in 2007 for the second year (2009) on August 18-19, 2009. The openness of the government, c.q. the Directorate General of Higher Education, through the Competitive Grant Program should be positively supported in order to provide maximum results for the development of national higher education within the limitations of available resources. The profile of Widyatama graduates is focused on entering the private sector, so that the development of a competitive business community and environment on campus is a central theme of long-term development. Widyatama University’s master plan for improving quality, institutional efficiency, and consumer (student) satisfaction is expected to maintain sustainable growth for the institution and provide competitive and adaptive competencies for graduates, whether they enter the world of entrepreneurship (employment creation) or private enterprise (employability). The development programs carried out aim to improve the capacity of the institution and the quality of Widyatama’s management, as well as the quality, relevance, and efficiency of the Study Program as a whole, covering the theme of “Developing Widyatama’s Competitiveness through Competency Quality Development and Competitive Environment Development,” which consists of campus digitalization development, business community, quality assurance system towards academic audit, programs to improve the quality of teaching and learning processes and accelerate study time, as well as programs to improve the relevance and competitiveness of graduates.
