Inauguration of New Students at Widyatama University

After conducting the admission selection for the 2010/2011 academic year, all new students of Widyatama University (UTama) were inaugurated by UTama Rector Dr. Mame S. Sutoko, Ir., DEA on Thursday (26/8) at the Widyatama Auditorium.

In his speech, Mame reminded the new students to adapt to the higher education learning system, which emphasizes initiative, independence, discipline, and maturity in planning their studies using the semester credit system (SKS).

In this activity entitled University Introduction Program (PPU), Mame added that PPU was held to help new students through the transition period on campus, not as an event to demean human dignity or to pressure UTAMA students from different batches. At the end of his speech, the rector expressed his hope that all old and new students could live up to the name UTAMA in its true sense, being the best in everything, including academic achievement, behavior, and other aspects.***
