The foundation’s 38th anniversary was celebrated in a simple manner.

The Widyatama Foundation celebrated its 38th anniversary on Monday (3/1) in the lobby of the Widyatama Foundation Building. The simple celebration, attended by the rectorate leadership and Widyatama Foundation staff, was quite solemn. Marked by the cutting of the tumpeng (cone-shaped rice dish) by the Foundation’s founder, Prof. Dr. Koesbandijah A.K., M.S., Ak, she advised the academic community to continue to maintain the synergy of all Widyatama components, namely the leadership, employees, lecturers, and students.

This event was different from previous celebrations, which consisted of speeches by guest representatives, speeches by the foundation’s founder, the cutting of the tumpeng, and ended with a reception. At the end of the event, Ms. Koes, as the founder of the foundation is affectionately known, quoted a saying, “There is no point in building magnificent buildings if we are unable to develop the quality of our human resources (HR). Developing the quality of human resources can be done through education, and education anywhere does not depend solely on the responsibility of the government but is the responsibility of all citizens.”***
