On Thursday (August 15), the Widyatama Foundation and Widyatama University held a halal bihalal gathering at the Widyatama Multipurpose Building (GSG) on Jalan Cikutra 204 A, Bandung. In general, it can be concluded that Halal bihalal is an indigenous Indonesian culture. Its main purpose is to gather as many people as possible from a community or institution so that they can strengthen their bonds of friendship. The Widyatama Foundation and University Halal Bihalal event was attended by all leaders and the academic community with the hope that it would be an effective medium for asking for and giving forgiveness.

The event began with an opening and recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by remarks from the Chairman of the Widyatama Foundation Management Board, Mr. T. Ontowiryo, S.E., MBA, and remarks from the Rector of Widyatama University, Mr. Dr. Mame S. Sutoko, Ir., DEA. The speaker, Mr. Budi Prayitno, S.Psi, explained the wisdom of Halal bihalal as an activity that leads its participants to untangle knots, warm up previously frozen relationships so that they become fluid again, release binding ties, and resolve difficulties and problems that hinder the establishment of harmonious relationships. It is hoped that the outcome of this event will be that everyone who comes and goes will have new silaturahim relationships, or old silaturahim relationships that become even closer. Amen.
