The Excitement of the Industrial Visit from Melaka University of Malaysia
On Monday, May 26, 2014, Widyatama University welcomed a delegation from Melaka University of Malaysia, which was attended by lecturers from the Faculty of Economics and student representatives from the Accounting Study Program at Melaka University. Widyatama University was represented by Prof. Dr. Davidescu Cristiana Victoria as Acting Rector, Prof. Jozua Sabandar, M.A., Ph.D, and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Widyatama University, Dr. H. Nuryaman, S.E. M.Si., Ak.
The arrival of this group was warmly welcomed by the host, especially the Widyatama Rectorate, because in addition to the transfer of academic curriculum and civitas culture, the guests also presented traditional Malaysian culture. “We are very impressed with this visit. We were warmly welcomed and the cleanliness was very well maintained,” commented Nur, the coordinator of the Melaka Universiti Malaysia industrial visit.
The industrial visit aimed to introduce the profiles of both universities, and they also introduced the profile of the city of Malacca as part of the “Visit Malaysia 2014” Truly Asia promotion. The rectorate hopes that there will be good cooperation between Widyatama University and Melaka University, especially in the academic world in the future.
