The lively election for the Chair of the Student Organization (LK) for the 2014/2015 term has been completed. The results are Raka Chicio as the elected Chair of MPM, M. Imam Wiryawan as the elected Student President, Linda Wulandani as the Chair of the Faculty of Economics Student Senate, and Rayendra Pangestu as the elected Chair of the Faculty of Business and Management Student Senate.
On June 27, 2014, the elected leaders were inaugurated to carry out their work program for the next year. The event was attended by the Acting Rector of Widyatama University, Prof. Dr. Davidescu Cristiana Victoria, representatives of the Foundation, and the Heads of Bureaus. The event began with the signing of the MPM handover ceremony, which was led by the Acting Rector and the Head of the Student Affairs Bureau.
The Acting Rector of Widyatama University stated that students need to change their organizational paradigm and mindset, recognizing that while organizations are very important, they should not neglect their academic priorities. A Complement Certificate can be a plus point to accompany a graduation diploma if students have expertise and skills in organizing.
The series of events then continued with the elected Student President taking the oath for the core staff of PEMA, and then inaugurating the elected Chair of SEMA.
“Students must have more than just hard skills in the classroom. There are opportunities to get scholarships for students who are active in organizations,” said Asep Sudrajat, S.T. M.T., Head of the Student Affairs Bureau.
