Saturday (March 7), Widyatama University (UTama) welcomed a visit from SMAN 9 Bandung. The group arrived at around 11:00 a.m. at the Widyatama parking lot and was welcomed by the Marketing Bureau and Marketing Crew. The group was led by Mrs. Supriyadi, Coordinator of SMAN 9 Bandung Guidance Counselors, and representative teachers from the school. SMAN 9 Bandung brought around 50 students from various departments who were very interested in enrolling at Widyatama University.
The event began with a speech from the representative of the Head of the Marketing Bureau, Mr. Fikri Alwi H, A.Md, followed by a speech from Mr. Supriyadi as the Coordinator of SMAN 9 Bandung. The event then continued with a UN TRYOUT held in the Seminar Room on the 4th floor of Building A at Widyatama University. This initiative offers numerous benefits for the school, particularly the students, by providing practical skills training for SMAN 9 Bandung students to prepare them for the National Exam.
The purpose of the group’s visit to UTama was to provide high school graduates and their equivalents with an understanding of higher education. This is because high school graduates do not yet know which university they will attend after graduating from high school or what major they will choose when they go to college. In addition to providing this understanding, the visit was also used as a means to provide more detailed information about Widyatama University. At the end of the event, the Head of the Office presented merchandise and souvenirs to the group and conducted a group photo session to foster camaraderie and good relations between the two institutions.
