It was announced that information regarding the Lecturer of the Industrial Engineering bachelor’s degree Program and Professor at Widyatama University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Anang Zaini Gani, MSIE, had successfully received an award as one of the Best Papers at the Industrial Engineering and Service Science (IESS) 2015 conference initiated by the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology in Surabaya. The conference was held from September 1 to 2, 2015, followed by a conference tour the next day. His success in writing the paper was not achieved alone, but through collaboration with his colleagues from various universities. Specifically, he worked with his colleagues from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) in Surabaya and the Semen Indonesia International University in Gresik.
The title of the paper is “Dynamic-inventory ship Routing Problem (D-ISRP) model considering port dwelling time information.” His paper was published in Procedia Manufacturing, an open access journal that focuses entirely on publishing high-quality conference proceedings under the control of the world-class publisher Science Direct-EL SEVIER. Professor Anang Zaini Gani was born in Malang on August 24th, 1939. He obtained his degree in Mechanical Engineering (majoring in Production Engineering) from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 1963. He then continued his master’s studies at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, United States, where he earned a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering in 1965. After several years as a lecturer in Industrial Engineering at ITB, he pursued doctoral studies at the University of Padova, Italy. He earned his Doctorate in Organization Aziendale in 1972.
He served as a lecturer at the Bandung Institute of Technology from 1963 to 2005. He earned the title of Professor of Industrial Engineering at ITB in 1990. After retiring from ITB, he held the position of Professor of Industrial Engineering at the Telkom Institute of Technology, Bandung from 2007 to 2010. Since 2012, he has been teaching at Universitas Widyatama, Bandung. With his outstanding achievements, it is hoped that these accomplishments will serve as positive motivation to bring honor to the Widyatama community on both the national and global stages.
