On Saturday (February 13), the Student Senate (SeMa) of the Faculty of Engineering at Widyatama University (UTama) held the 2016 Engineer Gathering event. The event, which was held on the 4th floor of the UTama Seminar Building, featured three alumni from each study program in the Faculty of Engineering. Adi Sudiyanto (Information Systems Alumni), who has served as Head of Development at PT. Sarana Pactindo, Giraldi Pradana Putra (Informatics Engineering Alumni) as Senior Commercial Analyst Professional Product at PT. Loreal Indonesia, and Jembar Kurnia (Industrial Engineering Alumni) who has worked as Lean Manager at PT. Fengtay Indonesia Enterprise.
With the theme “Share the taste of your campus life,” the event was attended by UTama Faculty of Engineering students from the 2010 batch to the most recent 2015 batch, who were very enthusiastic about each series of activities. With the gathering, it is hoped that students will be more motivated to study harder to earn their degrees and get jobs that match their passions. “In addition to providing input for us to think outside the box, we held this event so that they could share their frustrations in writing their theses or final projects. Hopefully, this can be a good solution for us and the audience,” said Guntur Joko, Chairman of SeMa Teknik UTama.
In addition, the event was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Oktri Muhammad Firdaus, S.T., M.T., and the Head of the Student Affairs Bureau, Asep Sudrajat, S.E., M.T. Although this was the first time SeMa Teknik UTama had organized this event, it was a success, as evidenced by the large number of visitors who attended.
