On Sunday (March 13), the Department of Arts and Culture (SenBud) of the Student Government at Widyatama University held the 2015 MASA (Art Appreciation Night) event. This annual event is a memorable one for the organizing committee. There is something interesting about the committee structure for this music event. The entire MASA program is organized by new students from each batch.
This Art Appreciation Night is held with the aim of strengthening the bonds of brotherhood among new students at Widyatama University (UTama). With their various races and ethnicities, they are united by the warm evening of MASA. “This is a routine program organized by the Department of Arts and Culture. We do this regularly to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood between generations and also to introduce the meaning of organization to new students,” said Albian, President of Widyatama Students for the 2015/2016 term.
The organizing committee spent approximately four months preparing for the event held at GSG Widyatama, from seeking sponsors to selecting the best talent for MASA. The excitement of the event’s climax was heightened by a performance from The Changcuters, who appeared as guest stars.
