On Saturday (April 8), the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI) in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) held an event at the Widyatama Auditorium (GSG) to present awards for the Chartered Accountant (CA) scholarship program, which is specifically for undergraduate accounting students from all universities in Indonesia. The event was facilitated by the Accounting Study Program of Widyatama University. Also present and opening the event was Hj. Prima Yusi Sari, S.E, M.E, Ak (General Secretary of IAI West Java Region), as well as Edward Tanuwijaya (Director of Communications & Marketing of IAI), and Isnaeni Achdiat (Member of the Professional Accountant Certification Board).
The appreciation ceremony and explanation of the CA scholarship were given directly by Edward Tanuwijaya (IAI), while the ICAEW scholarship was given by Deny Poerhadiyanto (Head of ICAEW Indonesia). This scholarship aims to open opportunities for outstanding students to become global standard Professional Accountants. The scholarship selection process was held at the Gymnasium of the Indonesia University of Education on December 3, 2016. From this selection, more than 200 undergraduate accounting students from all over Indonesia successfully obtained the CA scholarship (http://iaiglobal.or.id/v03/berita-kegiatan/detailberita-975-pengumuman-ujian-gebyar-beasiswa-ca-indonesia). Twelve students from Widyatama University were among the recipients of the scholarship.
These students are eligible to receive scholarships to take seven CA exam subjects from the IAI and the CFAB (Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business) exam from the ICAEW. Congratulations to the scholarship recipients, and best of luck!
