The Japanese Language Study Program at Widyatama University (UTama) will soon send its outstanding students to participate in the Pasona International Exchange Program 2018 for three months in Japan from June 27 to September 1, 2018. This opportunity was initiated by the Head of the Japanese Language Bachelor’s Degree Program, Dinda Gayatri Ranadireksa, S.S., M.A., Ph.D., who established a partnership with Pasona Indonesia. Pasona Group is a Japanese company that plays an active role in fulfilling the need for professionals in several countries around the world so that they can play an active role in the global economy, especially in the industrial world in Japan.

This program, which has been held annually since 1987, provides opportunities for students from several renowned universities around the world to participate in internships and pursue careers in Japan. This year, Nabila Hidayat, a student of the Japanese Language Undergraduate Program at Widyatama University, was selected as the only student from Indonesia to participate in a series of Pasona International Exchange Programs. The activities Nabila will participate in include orientation, a Gala Dinner, management training, various Japanese cultural events, internship results presentations, and a farewell party.

Nabila had the opportunity to do an internship as a translator at Hitachi Tokyo. This series of programs will be held for 3 months, from July 2018 to September 2018. All expenses and accommodation will be covered by the company, and students will receive a monthly allowance of 120,000 yen.

During an interview at Widyatama University, Dinda stated that the Pasona Program is highly suitable and supports the quality objectives of the Japanese Language Bachelor’s Degree Program, which aims to prepare graduates, including those who aspire to become translators.
