On Friday (12/10), Widyatama University invited guidance counselors from senior high schools, vocational schools, and Islamic high schools in Bandung City, West Bandung Regency, and Cimahi City to attend an “Appreciation Gathering” held in the Seminar Room on the 4th floor of Building A at Widyatama University. The event was attended by more than 50 counselors, along with students from grade XII, represented by 5 students from each school.

This event is an annual event organized by the Widyatama University Marketing Bureau to give appreciation to schools that contribute to the student body of Widyatama University. In addition, this activity is also intended to inform schools about the 2019/2020 Academic Year New Student Admissions.

This year, the Widyatama Foundation wants to increase the number of scholarships for the nation’s children, in the form of 100% tuition fees through the “Priority Path” registration program, he added.
There was something different about this year’s “Appreciation Gathering”; Widyatama University invited not only teachers but also 12th grade students from each school. The students who attended were treated to a performance by representatives of the Basketball Student Activity Unit (UKM) and the UTama Dance Crew (UDC) at the Student Activity Center (PKM) building, which was inaugurated in August 2018 by the Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT), Komjen Pol. Drs. Suhardi Alius, M.H., during the University Introduction Program. This is an opportunity to introduce the Widyatama University PKM Building, said Nur Adi, representing the Marketing Bureau, during his speech.
In addition to being treated to a performance by the Widyatama Student Activity Unit, the students in attendance were also entertained with interactive games featuring interesting sports-related gimmicks.
At the end of the event, all teachers were invited to tour the PKM Building to see the facilities that support student activities, including basketball courts, futsal courts, badminton courts, a gym, and many other supporting facilities. (Ed)
